Customer Story: From Eye Tracking to Driving Performance: Advanced Race Car Analysis with Blickshift Analytics

🏎️ Gal Ziv, a researcher at Lithuanian Sports University and one of our long-standing research partners, has published another excellent demonstration of advanced eye-movement analysis in a racing simulator using Blickshift Analytics.

Gal Ziv from the Lithuanian Sports Universityshows how he visualizes and analyzes synchronized telemetry and gaze data from a racing simulator

The video shows how researchers can:

👁️ Synchronize gaze data with vehicle telemetry
📊 Create intuitive visualizations of driver behavior
📈 Prepare high-quality datasets for quantitative analysis
🐍 Export synchronized data to environments such as Python or R for further processing

What we particularly like about this example is that it demonstrates an important principle: advanced eye-tracking analysis doesn’t have to be complicated. With the right workflow, even complex multimodal datasets can be explored efficiently, allowing researchers to spend more time generating insights and less time managing data.

A big thank you to Gal and the Skill Acquisition Research Group at Lithuanian Sports University for sharing another great example of how Blickshift Analytics is being used in cutting-edge research on skill acquisition and motorsports.
