This week, our co-founder Michael Raschke visited L-mobile near Stuttgart to record an in-depth discussion with Andrea Spiegel for their podcast series about the future competitiveness of Germany as a business location.

Michael Raschke visited L-mobile near Stuttgart to record an in-depth discussion with Andrea Spiegel
L-mobile, a software company with around 300 employees, develops solutions for digital manufacturing, warehouse logistics, and smart factory environments, exactly the kind of innovative mid-sized company that forms the backbone of industrial strength in Germany and Europe.
One thing became clear very quickly during the discussion: there is a growing sense of urgency 🚨 across large parts of the German economy. But the important question is not whether challenges exist. The real question is: 👉 How do we respond to them? At Blickshift, we are convinced that developing innovative products which solve data analysis challenges in entirely new innovative ways is one of the keys to ensuring Europe’s long-term competitiveness and a sustainable economic future.
Too often, reactions are driven mainly by frustration and pessimism. Our perspective is different. An “alarm state” simply means that all warning signals are visible 🔴🔴🔴 And above all, it creates one thing: the need for action and for creative, innovative solutions. The key challenge is whether we are prepared to draw the right conclusions and act decisively. This question was at the center of the conversation and will be explored further in an upcoming podcast episode.
Topics include:
🔴 Why Germany is losing economic momentum
🟡 Which structural and strategic thinking patterns are holding companies and policymakers back
🟢 What it will take to restore Europe’s long-term competitiveness
We’ll share the link to the episode here once it goes live.
